College of Nursing

The College of Nursing at UMSL is uniquely positioned to educate nurses to meet the health care needs of community members across the St. Louis region and beyond. The College is home to some of the best and brightest nursing students. The nearly 1,000 undergraduate and graduate students at the College are representative of the wide diversity of St. Louis, as well. Over 25% of nursing students are from minority populations, and 40% of nursing undergraduates are first-generation college students.

Our nationally faculty bring expertise in acute and chronic care, maternal-child and women's health, pediatrics, mental health, community health, health promotion, emergency and disaster management, primary care, health care systems, and culture and diversity in healthcare. The College is also embracing curricular and technological innovation to ensure that its graduates are better prepared for tomorrow’s challenges: working collaboratively, providing evidence-based care, managing chronic conditions, coordinating complex care, and promoting a culture of health.

We are dedicated to the pursuit of excellence and leadership through academic, clinical and research initiatives. Your gift of support to the Nursing Learning Resource and Simulation Lab will help to train talented students determined to provide the very best in nursing care to the St. Louis region and beyond.
